A recent story came out last month by CNN’s Drew Griffin that some some insurance companies are skimping on repairing damaged vehicles to pad their profits. They actually state that over 500 auto body shops across the country are doing this. What does this mean? It means that auto body shops are using recycled, reused and even “junk” parts into your car.
Insurance companies are sending parts to auto body shops that are unsafe. If the auto body shops disagree to use these parts, then the Insurance companies will then refuse to recommend them to customers.
Aftermarket parts & junk parts absolutely raise safety concerns for drivers. Insurance companies are purposely directing customers to auto body shops that are being forced to cut corners.
